BLK Snowflake, founded in 2025 by director Saskia Cole, is dedicated to being an integral part of the local community. Our mission is to support educational institutions in promoting anti-racism and fostering inclusivity. Saskia's Story
Saskia Cole is a dedicated activist and co-founder of BLM Peterborough, a local response group she established during the pandemic 2020. Through her freelance work, she has championed anti-racism initiatives in educational institutions, empowering young people to engage critically in conversations about race. Saskia has also worked in other sectors such as gaming to promote representation for people of colour. Recognising the need for further support, she created BLK Snowflake to assist schools in Peterborough in addressing racism effectively. With her deep roots in the community and experience in the childcare sector, Saskia remains committed to promoting equality and fair representation in all her endeavours.

Saskia has dedicated over five years to the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) field, leveraging her academic background from the University of the Arts where she focused on representation in gaming. It was during her studies that she first engaged in critical reflection about her own perspectives and societal issues, with race and gender equality frequently at the forefront of discussions. Having personally experienced the effects of racism, Saskia believes that making a positive impact on even one individual is a significant achievement in the pursuit of equality. Her commitment to this cause drives her work and passion in the DEI space.
